Florida State got the ball first to start the half and snuck in a quick layup by De’ante Green to get points on the board first. On the first Notre Dame possession Florida State’s Darin Green stole the ball but ND was able to get it back. Markus Burton got the first points on the board for ND on a step back jumper and De’ante Green answered with three point jumper. 5-2, FSU
Notre Dame’s Carey Booth got his first three point shot to tie the game, and Jamir Watkins quickly responded with a driving layup. JR Koniecszny got in the three point game with a three point jumper of his own. Irish up, 8-7.
Florida State’s Jamir Watson missed a driving layup and Notre Dame got the rebound. JR Konieczny made a bad pass and Florida State stole the ball and turned it into points on a Jalen Warley jumper. Kebba Njie missed his layup and the media took a timeout, 15:35. 9-8, Florida State.
Njie was fouled and missed both of his free throw shots and Florida State got the rebound, and turned it into points on a Jaylan Gainey second chance jumper. Njie made up for his missed foul shots with a layup, to cut FSU’s lead to one. After a few missed shots Markus Burton made a three point shot, followed by two FSU buckets by Gainey and Darin Green Jr. 15-13 FSU.

Logan Imes made a driving layup, and on FSU’s next possession ND stole the ball. Shrewsberry turned the ball over and FSU missed a three point shot and lost the ball to ND. Notre Dame’s JR Konieczny made one of his two free throw shots at the line followed by a foul by Cameron Corhen which sent Kebba Njie to the line where he missed his free throw shot. FSU Jalen Warley made a second chance driving layup to shrink ND’s lead to two points, and at the other end of the court Green Jr. fouled Matt Zona who went to the line and missed both of his free throw shots. After the break Jalen Warley went to the foul line and made both of his free throw shots to put the Noles up by two points. FSU got the ball and couldn’t turn the possession into points. Notre Dame took the ball to the other end and Konieczny turned the ball over. Konieczny fouled Baba Miller who went to the foul line for one shot and made it.
Notre Dame turned the ball over on their next possession and fortunately FSU couldn’t turn the opportunity into points. Foul on Baba Miller who sent Matt Zona to the line who missed his foul shot and FSU came up with the ball. FSU turned the ball over and ND’s JR Konieczny sank his hookshot jumper. ND closes to within three points.
Roper II missed his three point shot and on FSU’s possession Roper II fouled Primo Spears who went to the line and sank both of his free throw shots. FSU up by 5 points, 31-26. Notre Dame takes a timeout with 53 seconds remaining in the half.
Notre Dame’s Markus Burton sank a big three to pull the Irish within two and then at the buzzer FSU’s Taylor Bowen sank a second chance layup to put FSU up by four at the buzzer.

Notre Dame got the ball first to begin the second half and ND’s Konieczny turned the ball over on a travel. Jalen Warley sank his driving layup and FSU gets on the board first in the second half. Konieczny missed his three point jumper, and FSU’s Jamir Watkins made a jumper in the paint at the other end. 37-29, FSU

After the break Note Dame’s Braeden Shrewsberry sank a two point pullup jumper, and FSU turned the ball over on their next possession. FSU’s Chandler Jackson fouled Markus Burton who went to the line and made both of his free throw shots. FSU’s Spears sank his two point jumper and Notre Dame responded with a Logan Imes layup.
