It’s transfer portal season for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the rest of college football. There will be many, many names that enter the portal, and the Irish won’t be immune to a large handful of players seeking a chance to play elsewhere. On Thursday, Notre Dame safety Ramon Henderson announced that he will be entering the transfer portal as a grad transfer.

Henderson enrolled at Notre Dame in 2020 and has been a rotational player in the defensive backfield for the last few years. He also put in the work in the classroom as he will leave South Bend with his bachelors and his masters degrees.

The California native played well as a rotational player and should easily find a new home to be a fulltime starter in 2024.

Henderson is the first Irish defensive back to announce for the transfer portal, but we might see one or two more in the coming days.

Good luck to Ramon wherever he might land.
