It’s transfer portal season for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the rest of college football. There will be many, many names that enter the portal, and the Irish won’t be immune to a large handful of players seeking a chance to play elsewhere. On Thursday, Notre Dame wide receiver Braylon James announced his intention to enter the transfer portal.
James is now the third wide receiver to enter the transfer portal with Rico Flores rumored to be another player that that could announce for the portal very soon. This comes at the heels of the Chansi Stuckey firing — which has been explained as a move that was supposed to save the wide receiver group from transferring out en masse, but just the opposite is happening at the moment.
James played in just four games as a freshman this season. The former Texas high school standout should have plenty of options in front of him.
Good luck to James wherever he may land.
