The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are 8-3 and ranked #17 in the country after taking down the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, 45-7 on Senior Day in South Bend. Notre Dame was a 24.5 point favorite against the Demon Deacons, and covered that line quite easily.
Next up for the Irish is the bi-annual trip to what might be the worst field at any FBS program — the Stanford Cardinal on the farm. Stanford is 3-8 on the season with their only wins coming against the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors, Colorado Buffaloes, and Washington State Cougars. One of those eight losses came at the hands of Sacramento State — the school they just took head coach Troy Taylor from after the departure of David Shaw.
According to DraftKings Sportsbook, the Irish are 24.5 point favorites over Stanford with an over/under of 51.5.
Regardless of how bad Stanford is, the game still has a bit of a revenge twist to it thanks to Stanford’s upset of the Irish last year in South Bend. People want that Legends trophy back in the case at Notre Dame.
