On Saturday, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish put together a dominant 45-7 win over the Wake Forest Demon Deacons in the last home game of the season. It was good enough for the Irish to move up in both the AP Top 25 and Coaches Poll.

The Irish are now ranked #17 in the country in both polls as we head towards the last game of the regular season against the Stanford Cardinal in Palo Alto.
While the college football playoff rankings are the primary rankings before we get to bowl season, they don’t produce a final set of rankings after all of the bowls and playoffs like the AP and coaches do — which means these two polls still remain important for how we score the end of the college football season.
The only Notre Dame opponents that are still ranked are the Louisville Cardinals #9/#9 and the Ohio State Buckeyes #2/#2.
