Welcome to another Bagpipe Monday on One Foot Down! Friends, we have a very quick turn around this week for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish thanks to the Sunday night game — THANKS TO A WIN ON THE ROAD AT NIGHT AGAINST AN IMPROVING ACC TEAM — is what I really mean.

Bagpipe Monday Notre Dame @phillykelly

There’s a lot we can be critical about from the game, and there’s also a lot of things we can just flat-out worry about (injuries for one). Still, I’m feeling pretty good after a day with my kids and our traditional (kind of) victory hike in the woods down by the river. I want to keep those good vibes going as we prep for a Toledo squad that should allow Notre Dame to fine tune some of the mishaps.

So — let’s talk MVP from the win over Florida State. I’ve narrowed it down to five choices:

  • Jack Coan 26-35 — 366 yds — 4TD — 1 INT
  • Michael Mayer 9 receptions — 120 yds — 1 TD
  • Isaiah Foskey 8 tackles — 2 Sacks
  • Kyle Hamilton 6 tackles — 2 INT
  • Jonathan Doerer 48 & 41 yard FG with the game winner

We will also accept any write-in candidates that you deem worthy, because there were a few other guys that could be deserving.
