The Notre Dame Fighting Irish put up 431 yards of offense, but gave up 442 to the Florida State Seminoles in a 41-38 overtime win. It was a wild start to the college football season, but it was still a win on the road nonetheless.
HIGHLIGHTS
The Irish scored 41 points — which makes for a nice highlight reel. The five touchdowns scored were from five different players; Kyren Williams, Chris Tyree, Michael Mayer, Kevin Austin, and Joe Wilkins.
CONDENSED GAME
POSTGAME PRESSERS
Brian Kelly
Brian Kelly was happy with the win, but he stated that there were clearly some things on both sides of the ball to clean up and get better at before they take on Toledo.
Kelly was also asked about his postgame comments with ABC when he butchered a John McKay quote about “execution.” Kelly was genuinely confused that people didn’t understand the quote.
When asked about the officiating... well... Kelly said Jack pays his fines.
Kyle Hamilton and Jack Coan
Notre Dame made Kyle Hamilton and Jack Coan available for questions from the media.
