Notre Dame Football: Hot and Cold Takes, Florida State Edition

notre dame football hot takes

Welcome to Notre Dame Fighting Irish Hot and Cold Takes: Florida State Edition. As a reminder to all of the readers, this is HEAVILY driven by you. The format allows readers and fans to leave their own takes for the game, both HOT and COLD. As a recap, a HOT take is one that may cause some controversy, but will allow you to say, “CALLED IT!”. A COLD take is still impressive, but is generally more reasonable/expected. During the season, I will feature the most accurate, most interesting, and the most wildly inaccurate after each game week. Now let’s get to the takes for the upcoming action featuring the Notre Dame Fighting Irish against the Florida State Seminoles.

Cold Take

Kyle Hamilton First Half Interception

(Remember this is a Cold Take). Kyle Hamilton is a player everyone is talking about that deserves all of the hype. He was great last year despite having a high ankle sprain in the first game. For anyone who has had a high ankle’s no joke. Hamilton was not full speed last year and was STILL that good. Imagine him a year older, stronger, and fully healthy. Jordan Travis will look to take some shots as FSU will need to rely on big plays early. Hamilton will will either jump a crossing route or eliminate a cover two hole shot. I also want to specify that Hamilton’s pick will happen in the first half. I think FSU starts this game strong and this interception in the second quarter will take some of the wind out of those sails. #HEISMILTON (this is a work in progress so let’s crowd source some names in the comments).

Hot Take

Kevin Austin’s First Score of his Career is a Rushing TD.

Spicy? You know I have to start off the year with a very specific hot take. There have been rumblings/sightings of Kevin Austin and Braden Lenzy doing running back drills with Lance Taylor. Now, will we see either of them at RB?!? Hard no. However, I think this is intentional and the goal will be to get both of these guys carries throughout the year. I think we will see Austin come in motion, take a jet sweep, hit the creese, and be gone. I mean if my guy Benny Sko can get a rushing TD you better believe Austin will get one too...

Your Takes: Please leave your takes below (hot, cold medium-any temp). I will feature the Top Takes next week. GO IRISH!
