#7 Notre Dame Fighting Irish VS Florida State Seminoles

It’s finally time for the season to truly begin. Notre Dame travels to Tallahassee for a Sunday night matchup against the consistently average Noles. With this being the season opener, there are enough questions on both sides of the field to create just enough intrigue.

But — should there be?

Notre Dame is a top 10 team with a loaded roster and one of the best coaching staffs in the country. The Noles still have their own fair share of talent, but continue to underperform. The 7.5 point spread gives an incredible amount of respect to Florida State while slapping the Irish in the face. The only way for Notre Dame to turn that respect around, is to smack around Florida State on their home field.

Notre Dame has won 32 straight games (school record) against unranked opponents which currently ranks 2nd to only the Alabama Crimson Tide. It’s quite impressive, and maybe one of the more underrated stats in all of college football. A record like that means the program is incredibly solid, while we are still waiting on Florida State to get back to that same level.
