Welcome back to another Notre Dame Fighting Irish football season and the Bagpipe Mondays that fill your life with (mostly) joy!

Bagpipe Monday Notre Dame @phillykelly

Friends, we finally made it. Each and every year the journey from the end of one season to the start of the next is as unique as a snowflake. While we can pick out many similarities — it’s still very different.

We will soon get our first taste of this “different” Irish offense led by quarterback Jack Coan, when Notre Dame travels to Tallahassee for a Sunday night game against the Florida State Seminoles. There are a lot of positive vibes going around about what this offense may be this year. There are plenty of what ifs — but also plenty of athletes on the roster capable of making plays.

One of my favorite prop bets to start each year is the one about “who scores the first Irish touchdown?”. Running back Kyren Williams and tight end Michael Mayer are certainly a couple of front runners — but what do you think? Who scores the first Irish touchdown of the 2021 season?
