The three players; Junior safety Kyle Hamilton, Senior guard Cain Madden, and Junior running back Kyren Williams have already been splattered all over the All-American lists this preseason — but I always pay special attention to the AP team (just because I’m old).
To be honest, I was just thinking that Kyren Williams was being a little overlooked by the media this year, and then this happens — so that’s cool. He’s actually listed as a first team “all-purpose” player thanks to his incredible skill in the passing game as well as running the ball.
Speaking of overlooked... Senior center Jarrett Patterson is the best player along the Irish offensive line, but because of that late season injury and the uncertainty of his position just a few weeks ago, he is on the second team. Of course, 1st teamer Tyler Linderbaum (Iowa Hawkeyes) is a really good center as well.
