It was announced on Tuesday that The Notre Dame Fighting Irish football home and home series with the Alabama Crimson Tide is now rescheduled for the 2029 and 2030 seasons.

Alabama scheduled a series with the Oklahoma State Cowboys for the 2028 and 2029 series — which was during the same years as Notre Dame. The agreement has Notre Dame hosting Alabama on September 1, 2029 and then the Irish travel to Tuscaloosa for a September 14, 2030 matchup.
For the Irish this means that there won’t be a season with both Alabama and the Clemson Tigers on the schedule — and for the Tide it means that there won’t be Notre Dame and the Ohio State Buckeyes on the same regular season schedule.
Notre Dame has no other non-ACC FBS Power 5 teams schedule for the 2029 season, and for 2030 it’s the Indiana Hoosiers in early September.
If there are any other changes to the Notre Dame football schedule over the next decade, we will be sure to update accordingly.
