The Notre Dame Fighting Irish punched their ticket into the Super Regional with a dominating performance in the South Bend Regional that ended with another thumping of Central Michigan. Due to some weather delays down south, Notre Dame had to wait a day to find out who and where they will be playing in the Super Regional. After a tight 6-5 victory over the Campbell Camels, the Mississippi St. Bulldogs are the team and Starkville is the place.

This is pretty much what everyone expected to happen — so it comes as no shock at all. The Bulldogs are a great pitching team, and the Irish lit up their 3 games in the regional with 50 runs.
The action will take place this weekend, and as more details arise, we will be sure to pass them along.
The Super Regional is a best of 3 series that sends the winner on to the College World Series to face 7 other teams in tournament play.
