The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are set to play in the South Bend Regional Championship of the 2021 NCAA Baseball Tournament. Standing in their way are the Central Michigan Chippewas who advanced out of the loser’s bracket with a 14-9 win over the UConn Huskies.
The Irish have been absolutely dominant in their two tournament games so far. They shutout CMU in the first game 10-0, and then went bombs away with home run after home run (with a Niko Kavadas grand slam in that mix) on UConn on Saturday with a 26-3 victory.
The Irish set a postseason program record with 26 runs scored!

They scored so much that we couldn't fit it all into the highlights!

If Notre Dame wins tonight they are the regional champs and will advance to a super regional to qualify for the College World Series. Should the Irish lose — they will face Central Michigan one more time on Monday.
