Most fans that frequent OFD are probably of the mindset that Notre Dame is Tight End U. The All-Americans, Mackey Award winners, and NFL Draft picks give the Irish a strong claim. Programs such as the Miami Hurricanes and Iowa Hawkeyes make similar claims — and the debate rages on.
The funny thing is... the tight ends in the league are putting all of that to the side (kind of) as they come together this month in Nashville, Tennessee, for a 3 day summit called Tight End University. The even is spearheaded by George Kittle (San Francisco 49ers), Greg Olsen (Carolina Panthers), and Travis Kelce (Kansas City Chiefs).
The players are there to learn from one another and to make, essentially, a support group for tight ends across the league. They have grabbed a large number of sponsors as well to help them with their charitable endeavors.
Notre Dame’s own Cole Kmet (Chicago Bears) will be one of around 50 tight ends at this summit.
You can be a part of this in a way with these specially made shirts from Breaking T. A portion of the proceeds will go towards the charitable projects of TEU.
