The Notre Dame Fighting Irish announced today that their November 12, 2022 game against the Navy Midshipmen will be at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Maryland.

This, of course, is a Navy home game, but they love the home tax that they get from 40,000 Notre Dame fans, so they choose to play their turn in someone else’s backyard.

The series took a break in 2020 for the first time since they started playing one another in 1927. The 2020 game was originally scheduled to play in Dublin, Ireland, but because of the COVID-19 pandemic, all parties were forced to change their plans. The Irish joined the ACC for one season in 2020, and the COVID rules basically made it impossible for Notre Dame and Navy to play.

Notre Dame holds a commanding 79-13-1 record against Navy, but two of those losses did happen while Brian Kelly has been employed with the Irish (2010 & 2016).
