Everything you need to know about Notre Dame Football’s 12th spring practice

Be explosive

Jack Coan and Drew Pyne
Notre Dame Football

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish took the practice field for their eleventh session of the spring period on Tuesday. There is no media allowed for any practice this spring, but Notre Dame has provided us with photos and video to pass along to our readers.

The videos aren’t the normal type of hype footage we normally see from Notre Dame on their social accounts — as there is a lot more meat on this 3 minute bone. No pads today meant a lot of passing stuff — so sit back and count the reps.

I had my 2nd COVID vaccine shot yesterday — so I’m a little out of it today. I’ll let you draw your own conclusions from today’s clip, but I do want to mention that Drew White was out there working out, and that’s nice to see.

We’re getting close to the Blue-Gold game, and I’m actually excited to see how this all looks for that day — and I can’t say that’s been the case for every spring game.

HANGING WITH TOMMY

Tommy Rees was next up on the list to field questions from the media, and he opened things up with a very nice statement about Lou Somogyi.

As far as the rest of press conference went — it was pretty thorough. Rees discussed all three Irish quarterbacks in Jack Coan, Drew Pyne, and Tyler Buchner, the offensive line, red zone efficiency, Michael Mayer, being explosive — and much more. You can read the whole transcript over at Irish Illustrated via Tom Loy.
