On Monday, home and home football games between the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Indiana Hoosiers were announced.
Press release from Notre Dame:
NOTRE DAME, Ind. — The University of Notre Dame has announced a home-and-home series with in-state opponent Indiana University. The first game will take place August 31, 2030 at Notre Dame Stadium, and the two teams will again meet September 27, 2031 with Indiana as the host in Bloomington.
The Irish are 23-5-1 all-time vs. the Hoosiers, with a 13-1-1 record at home and 6-3 stint away. The last meeting between the two programs was in 1991, when No. 7 Notre Dame hosted Indiana and emerged with a 49-27 victory.
When the two teams meet in Bloomington, it will mark the first time since 1950 that the Irish have traveled to face Indiana at home.
Notre Dame is 247-129-16* all-time against opponents from the Big Ten conference.
Right now, this newly scheduled game with the Hoosiers is the only interesting game on the 2030 and 2031 schedule for Notre Dame — outside of its ACC requirements.
Cool.
