The Notre Dame Fighting Irish volleyball team is headed to the second round of the NCAA Tournament after taking down the Army Black Knights 3 sets to 1 in Omaha, Nebraska.

The Irish were dominant against Army with 17 blocked shots and 10 service aces. Charley Niego scored out a double double with 12 kills and 11 digs. Caroline Meuth had 10 kills of her own — along with 5 of those 17 blocks. Hannah Thompson and Lauren Wenzel each had a game-high 8 blocks, while Zoe Nunez notched 30 assists.
The Irish will take on the Oregon Ducks on Thursday for the rights to advance to the Sweet Sixteen. If Notre Dame wins, it will be their 7th trip all-time to the Sweet Sixteen.
