The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are playing excellent baseball right now, that had a 7 game winning streak and a 9-3 overall record — they’re getting a lot of love and notice.
This week in the D1Baseball Top 25, Notre Dame moves up 3 spots to #14 in the country.

Notre Dame is one of seven ACC schools that are currently ranked in the top 25. The other six are the #7 Louisville Cardinals, #11 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, #15 Pittsburgh Panthers, #17 Florida State Seminoles, #19 Miami Hurricanes, and #24 North Carolina Tar Heels. Two other ACC schools, the Boston College Eagles and Virginia Tech Hokies just dropped out after last week — which is to say that the ACC has some stiff competition.

It only gets tougher for the Irish as they next host Louisville in South Bend, travel to Pitt, and then back home for a series against Georgia Tech.
Notre Dame and Pitt are the only “northern schools” ranked in the top 15.
Baseball America actually has the Irish ranked #12.
Our new NCAA Top 25 is here.
