Breaking: Holy Cross VS Fordman......Cancelled

The rumor mill has been going all morning, but some of my inside sources (that was fun to say) have all but confirmed the Holy Cross Fordham game on March 20th, has in fact, been canceled. The reports are that this is due to Covid cases at Fordham, NOT Holy Cross. If there is a silver lining, it is that. Fordham missed their first game of the season due to Covid, scheduled last weekend against the Bucknell Bison. Another bummer is that I really don’t like Fordham. I got blindsided and knocked out cold as a Junior on a crack-back block, so I would have loved some sweet revenge. I also got juked out really badly and made Carlton Koonce’s highlight tape, so feel free to enjoy some highlights of me missing a tackle (at 1:20).

Needless to say this is a massive bummer, as Holy Cross came out swinging and put together a 20-3 victory over Lehigh last weekend. The Crusaders need to clean up a lot of things on offense, but were as dominant as I have seen them on defense. Special teams were also on fire with Derek Ng going 2/2 on field goals while nailing a 51 yarder. I will have more on that game as well as the outlook for the rest of the season later this week.
