Notre Dame Basketball: Irish to allow limited student attendance for games soon

An update from Notre Dame is HERE

NCAA Basketball: Virginia at Notre Dame Matt Cashore-USA TODAY Sports

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish football games had student attendance which at least helped a little bit to fill the void of a cavernous 80,000 person stadium. Irish basketball games have been even more desolate and this is all due to the safety measure in place to help battle the COVID-19 pandemic.

In an update from Notre Dame VP of student affairs Erin Hoffmann Harding and VP of campus safety Mike Seamon, the Irish will soon allow a limited number of students to attend basketball and volleyball games.

There will be an opportunity for limited student attendance at varsity basketball and volleyball games beginning next Wednesday, March 3. More details will be shared early next week. We also anticipate students will be able to attend outdoor sporting events.

For the Irish basketball team, this will be for the final two home games of the season against the N.C. State Wolfpack and Florida State Seminoles.
