Notre Dame Fighting Irish VS Navy Midshipmen: Depth Chart

A slight change moving forward

NCAA Football: North Carolina at Notre Dame Matt Cashore-USA TODAY Sports

On Monday, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish released their depth chart for Saturday’s game against the Navy Midshipmen. There was only a slight change to the depth chart from the updated list that we get on Thursday. Let’s take a look.

OFFENSE

Depth Chart — OFFENSE

QB RB WR WR WR TE LT LG C RG RT
QB RB WR WR WR TE LT LG C RG RT
#17 Jack Coan #22 Logan Diggs #4 Kevin Austin #21 Lorenzo Styles #0 Braden Lenzy #87 Michael Mayer #76 Joe Alt #73 Andrew Kristofic #55 Jarrett Patterson #62 Cain Madden #54 Blake Fisher
#10 Drew Pyne OR #25 Chris Tyree #16 Deion Colzie #29 Matt Salerno #83 Jayden Thomas #85 George Takacs #79 Tosh Baker #52 Zeke Correll #78 Pat Coogan #56 John Dirksen #77 Quinn Carroll
OR #12 Tyler Buchner - - - - #88 Mitchell Evans - #50 Rocco Spindler - - -

Notre Dame’s offensive line is working and we get to see the continuity of that now that Andrew Kristofic and Joe Alt are now entrenched on the left side. Running back Chris Tyree is still listed despite not taking any snaps at running back against North Carolina. Logan Diggs was essentially the #2 back, and he is put back on the depth chart this week. Braden Lenzy was banged up against UNC and we saw a lot more Lorenzo Styles — which could be the case again this week.

DEFENSE

#7 Isaiah Foskey #57 Jayson Ademilola #41 Kurt Hinish #95 Myron Tagovailoa-Amosa #27 JD Bertrand #40 Drew White #24 Jack Kiser #5 Cam Hart #11 Ramon Henderson #3 Houston Griffith #6 Clarence Lewis

#48 Will Schweitzer OR #56 Howard Cross #54 Jacob Lacey OR #90 Alexander Ehrensberger - - #12 Jordan Botelho - - - -

Kyle Hamilton was out for North Carolina and will remain out against Navy. According to Brian Kelly, the star safety may be available when the Irish play Virginia the week after Navy — but that’s for another conversation. D.J. Brown will continue to play in Hamilton’s place. What’s likely this week, is that Notre Dame moves to more of a 4-4 defense like they played against Wisconsin. That move would see Isaiah Pryor as the 4th linebacker with either Houston Griffith or D.J. Brown at safety.

No changes here, and again, despite the turf toe injury, Chris Tyree was the main kick returner against North Carolina.
