On Monday, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish released their initial depth chart for the upcoming game against the Virginia Tech Hokies in Blacksburg. The depth chart presented to the media will likely be inaccurate come game day, but this is what we have.

Brian Kelly addressed the quarterback situation on Monday, but offered nothing more than a “you guys are good at investigating” thing. Kelly said he will talk to the players and a decision between Jack Coan and Drew Pyne will be made. Notre Dame’s LT situation is also very much in the air due to all of the injuries. We could very well see Joe Alt start against VT, which then means the extra TE situation goes away — with more two back sets to help block as the replacement.
