Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NCAA. Each week, we send out questions to the most plugged-in Notre Dame Fighting Irish fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to join Reacts.
— At 5-1, the Irish still have a lot to play for this season — and that includes their postseason destination. While I personally believe the college football playoffs are a long shot at best, the 2022 season really is becoming a season of chaos — so who knows. It does, however, bring up that old question if it’s better to win a New Year’s Six game or lose a playoff game. Which one is better for the program?
— 2020 saw a lot of strange things, but one of the stranger things that happened was that there was no big rival on the schedule. The Irish didn’t play the USC Trojans on 2020, and that kind of sucked. While playing the number one team in the country at home is certainly important (like big time) I still believe that beating your main rival year in and year out is as important as it gets.
— Speaking of USC... what about the turf inside Notre Dame Stadium? Does anyone out there have buyer’s remorse about switching from real grass to fieldturf?
