The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are back on the road to take on the Pittsburgh Panthers in a former Big East matchup that is now an ACC matchup. Despite winning two of the last three games, the Irish are struggling this season in a variety of ways. There’s uneven play from most of the team, and they need multiple guys to step up rather than just Prentiss Hubb one game, or Nate Laszewski one game, or Juwan Durham one game — and you get the point.
Pitt hasn’t been much better than Notre Dame this season and are on a two game losing streak. Forward Justin Champagnie is their best player on the court and he is averaging over 20 points a game — but they also get some nice help from the backcourt in Xavier Johnson and Au’diese Toney for a combined 29 points a game and 9 assists.
