According to several reports, Notre Dame Fighting Irish linebacker Jordan Genmark Heath has left the football program. The senior from California intends to graduate from Notre Dame and use a graduate transfer to play somewhere else right away in 2021.

Jordan had 33 career tackles for Notre Dame in three years and was battling for a starting job at the BUCK. Where he goes now is uncertain.
I would have never of guessed this yesterday, and I don’t have many reasons why at this point. Was Genmark Heath’s decision made BEFORE the depth chart was made, or after? On Monday the Irish had Shayne Simon and Marist Liufau listed as the only two players for the BUCK on the depth chart. Because of the limited way we can operate and ask questions on a Zoom press conference, Jordan was never brought up — although I’m sure he would have been if this was a normal year.
Notre Dame’s depth at linebacker is largely untested, so the young guys that we hoped would develop in the future may need to get it together a lot sooner.
