The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are officially ACC members this year, so I was hesitant to break out his series of articles at the beginning of the season. Outside of one school, the Irish play nothing but conference opponents, so I suppose just a conference standings would work — but let’s try to remain normal for normalcy’s sake.
Here’s how Notre Dame’s opponents did in their week 4 matchups:
- Duke Blue Devils (0-3, 0-3) 38-20 LOSS to Virginia Cavaliers (1-0, 1-0)
- South Florida Bulls IDLE (1-1)
- Florida State Seminoles (0-2, 0-2) 52-10 LOSS to Miami-Florida Hurricanes (3-0, 3-0)
- Louisville Cardinals (1-2, 0-2) 23-20 LOSS to Pittsburgh Panthers (3-0, 2-0)
- Pittsburgh Panthers (3-0, 2-0) 23-20 WIN over Louisville Cardinals (1-2, 0-2)
- Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (1-2, 1-1) 37-20 LOSS to Syracuse Orange (1-2, 1-2)
- Clemson Tigers (2-0, 1-0) IDLE
- Boston College Eagles (2-0, 1-0) 24-21 WIN over Texas State Bobcats (1-3, 1-1)
- North Carolina Tar Heels (1-0, 1-0) IDLE
- Syracuse Orange (1-2, 1-2) 37-20 WIN over Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (1-2, 1-1)
- Wake Forest Demon Deacons (0-2, 0-2) IDLE
Notre Dame’s opponents are a combined 12-14 for the 2020 season.
