If you’re looking for some good news about the Notre Dame Fighting Irish after the announcement that this weekend’s game against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons is now postponed — I have a gentle reminder for you.
On Monday, 4-Star wide receiver Deion Colzie will announce his commitment. It was around this time last year when he did the same thing — and he chose the Irish. Fast forward a few months after that and Colzie had a change of heart. He decided that he rushed into a decision and wanted to start over.
The Irish never stopped recruiting Colzie even as the Georgia Bulldogs appeared to be the clear favorite, or as the Tennessee Volunteers (Chip Long’s new place of employment) came calling. And then, of course, there is Deion’s mom Yolanda — a giant fan of Notre Dame and always in their corner.
It appears that all of the patience and hard work is going to pay off next week. According to both the 247 Sports Crystal Ball and Rivals Future Cast, the overwhelming pick is that Colzie is going to choose the Irish — again.

If Colzie does indeed pick the Irish on Monday, we can (and will) further discuss what kind of impact it will have with this class and with the future of Notre Dame. Until then, we have all of those predictions to feel good about.
