We are creeping ever so closer to the start of the 2020 football season for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish if you believe a college football still happens. As such, we continue to go through the motions of a normal season as much as possible.
TRIPLE OPTION LFG!
CROWN HIM
Much of the discussion when it comes to Notre Dame football recruiting revolves around why the Irish don’t get more 5-Star players. Well... Blake Fisher just earned his 5th star from Rivals — so commence the celebration.
It's official folks. Avon (Ind.) High offensive tackle and #NotreDame commit Blake Fisher is a five-star prospect per @rivals!https://t.co/pSk7nTFeGu pic.twitter.com/1xJXJZOnxv

Just a reminder... this is a pretty good class. QB Tyler Buchner is a borderline 5-Star player and both OL Rocco Spindler and WR Lorenzo Styles can be treated as such as well.
WHAT IS AN “ALL-CONFERENCE” TEAM?
Now that the Irish are a full ACC member in football for 2020, they are being lumped in with all of the normal preseason discussion. Part of that discussion includes all-conference teams. Pro Football Focus offers their list for our consumption.

THE NEXT COMMIT?
If you’re wondering who might be the next Notre Dame commitment for the 2021 class, perhaps the best bet is on 4-Star WR Jayden Thomas from Georgia.
“Academically-wise, (Notre Dame is) just prestigious. That’s the reason why I’m at Pace: academics. ... Also just the vibe I get (at Notre Dame), the culture. It’s pretty much like the culture at Pace Academy.” — Top #NotreDame target @jgpt333 https://t.co/ODhaNJw3iy

PLAYOFF TALK IS BACK
After everything that has happened, the College Football Playoff Committee annpunced their schedule for the 2020 season. So, if you were wondering how this will all work — the first set of playoff rankings will be released on November 17th. That starts the Irish bye week after a game against the Boston College Eagles on November 14th (if you’re paying attention — ND will have played the Clemson Tigers by then).
Mark your calendars!
