They are still planning on a a college football season and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish still play college football. Those are two FACTS for those that are out here screaming about FACTS.
BREAK OUT THE TRIPLE OPTION!
NOTRE DAME RELEASES LATEST COVID-19 TEST RESULTS
In case you didn’t notice, or in case you have decided to just sit back and pretend everything is fine — we are still in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic here in the United States. The Irish released their latest test results which revealed a positive case with contact tracing leading to the self-quarantine of 4 others. This is only Notre Dame’s 2nd positive case, after 356 tests.
Not bad.

THE KYLE HAMILTON DISRESPECT IS REAL
The Thorpe Award released its watch list, and despite having 49 players named — there is NO Kyle Hamilton. There are, in fact, two players from the Ball State Cardinals so let that sink in for a minute.
The Thorpe Award came out with its Watch List today, selecting 49 candidates for the best defensive back in college football.

No Kyle Hamilton.
Sure.
LINEBACKER HYPE
The Butkus Award released its watch list, and there was no such disrespect. Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah made the list and his hype train is officially running full steam ahead in the preseason.

SEE YOU IN SPRING(ish)
California announced that they will move fall high school sports to late winter / spring. Texas is going to follow suit, and now is the time to prepare for the country to start making more moves like this — even the NCAA (looking at you college football).
While we have been discussing it here and there over the months, I expect full-throated editorials about the move to start to become the norm here over the next couple of weeks. Whether it happens or not, I think the question should be, “why not?”.

Drew White said it best, and made sure the NCAA was able to hear him.
