It’s a different world out there on the recruiting trail for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the rest of college football. Ever since official visits were took off the table back in March due to the coronavirus pandemic, programs have been scrambling to do their best to gain the commitments of the nation’s top talent for 2021 and beyond.
Along with Zoom calls, virtual visits, and the normal texting, calls, and social media love that Notre Dame uses — they have a lot of help from their current commits. No other Irish commit has been more vocal or more public than offensive lineman Blake Fisher.
The 4-Star prospect from Avon, Indiana was hard at it again over the weekend, braving the heat and humidity of a July in the mIdwest, and was on campus to “host” 3-Star tight end Mitchell Evans on an unofficial visit.
Y’all know I had to do some recruiting today!! Go show Big Mitch some love! ☘️ #TEU pic.twitter.com/lSvtUFUsVn

Evans, from Wadsworth Ohio, is a big target for the Irish right now as they try to get a second tight end for the 2021 class to go along with Cane Berrong. The Irish are trying to win Evans over and secure a commitment as they fight off the Michigan State Spartans, Pittsburgh Panthers, Florida State Seminoles, and others.
Showing himself to be a multi-tasker and “dog on the trail” Fisher also made sure to let Notre Dame’s top overall prospect know that there is plenty of delicious love for him in South Bend.
Yo @RoccoSpindler92 I came to your spot!! It awaits you ☘️ pic.twitter.com/2GA75CGNnm

The Irish are in a big fight with the Michigan Wolverines for offensive lineman Rocco Spindler, and as we approach his announcement date of August 8 — every little bit counts. Fisher is seen here in front of Rocco’s in South Bend. Rocco’s is one of the most loved pizza joints in town, and has been a fixture there since 1951.
I mean... in essence, it’s an offensive lineman baiting another offensive lineman with pizza. What’s not to love about that?
