With the prospect of no football season for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish (and the rest of college football) recruiting is our sport of choice. It’s basically a chess match between like 20 other schools — so whatever the hell that game was that they played on the Millennium Falcon.
The triple option dives into the mix — LET’S GO!
EXTREMELY STYLISH
For months now, there has been an uneasy feeling about 4-Star WR Lorenzo Styles. Despite his commitment to the Irish, there were reports of him talking to the Michigan Wolverines and that he might still take some official visits elsewhere. According to Mike Singer, it appears that the Irish are in much better shape with Styles and E.J. Holland can go fly a kite.
Michigan was trying to flip a #NotreDame commit, but it doesn't look like that will be happening.

A FISHING EXERCISE
4-Star offensive lineman Blake Fisher made a little noise on Monday when he announced that he received a scholarship offer from the USC Trojans, and expressed his gratitude to Clay Helton and company for the opportunity.
Blessed to receive an offer from The University of Southern California!! I would like to thank @USCCoachHelton @CoachV_USC @CoachDrev for this opportunity!! #FightOn✌ pic.twitter.com/baldBIEujO

Of course this ruffled the feathers of Irish fans on Twitter — which shouldn’t be tweeting at recruits anyways. People were up in arms with a kid that has done everything he can do to help Notre Dame get the best class that they can sign. He quickly shot down all nonsense.
I’m going to say this and be done. I AM 100% COMMITTED TO THE UNIVERSITY OF NOTRE DAME☘️ !! Nothing has changed!!

AN IRISH LEGEND MOVES ON
Last week we found out that Mike Golic was going to be pulled from his show on ESPN Radio, as the worldwide leader decided to change up its lineup. Now we know he’s going to have a role with college football, and I’m excited about that.

TWO FOR THE BEDNARIK
We are right in the thick of college football award watch list season — even if there is reason to doubt we have any season at all in 2020. On Monday, the Bednarik Award for the nation’s top defender, named Kyle Hamilton and Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah as part of that list. They get no argument from me.
