Happy Monday Triple Option fans! The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are just 68 (or 69) days away from the start of the football season and finally we’re getting some meat on our bones.
LET’S GO!
NOT SURE ABOUT THIS ONE
College Football News’ Pete Fiutak published his 2020 Notre Dame Preview, and I have to say... I’m a little confused. How can one publish a preview without mentioning freshman Chris Tyree or 6th year senior Shaun Crawford. Isaiah Rutherford and Trevor Speights make an appearance though — so it’s all good.

CHALK UP 3 LOSSES TO THE OBVIOUS
ESPN’s Bill Connelly released his INDEPENDENTS preview, and the SP+ has the Irish going 9-3. Obviously the three losses are to the Clemson Tigers, Wisconsin Badgers, and USC Trojans. If that happens, all good has left the world and I welcome our alien overlords.

* Brian Kelly wants ND to "get into that next echelon”
* BYU’s “however…” phase
* Bounceback time for the troops
* Sigh, yes, Liberty’s gonna be pretty good
* Really hard jobs remain really hardhttps://t.co/XecqxB29Lp
HOW TOUGH IS IT?
BGI’s Lou Somogyi broke down Notre Dame’s strength of schedule throughout the Brian Kelly era. It really only strengthens the argument that 2016 was a season on an acid trip.

WHAT’S UP WITH RUNNING BACK RECRUITING?
ND Insider’s Carter Karels published an interesting story about Notre Dame’s #1 running back target on their board. No, it isn’t Donovan Edwards — it’s 3-Star Logan Diggs from Louisiana. Let the Clyde Edwards-Helaire comparisons begin.
In his 15 years of coaching at Archbishop Rummel, Nick Monica couldn’t remember one player #NotreDame heavily recruited.

So the Irish pursuing Logan Diggs was enough to catch his attention. But telling him he’s their top running back target spoke volumes.https://t.co/UXc6tbP4LZ
