Running right back into the Triple Option after a couple of punts is exactly what I need this week. The news for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team has been PURE 2020 over the last week, and if you don’t understand what that means — I can’t help you.

LET’S GO!

NOTRE DAME IN GREEN BAY IS STILL UNCERTAIN

Despite the Wisconsin Badgers emphatically saying that they have had no discussions with Notre Dame about moving the October 3rd game to South Bend, rather than at the home of the Green Bay Packers in Lambeau Field — there is some worry up north. This is just the (holy crap this is a long name) Green Bay-Brown County Professional Football Stadium District Board, but the money they are talking about is very real. Even Notre Dame’s Brian Kelly had mentioned recently that Notre Dame could be looking at other options for its games inside NFL Stadiums this fall — a statement that was viewed as foreshadowing as much as anything else.

NEVER FORGET... ALABAMA HAS A LOSING RECORD AGAINST NOTRE DAME

The 2012 BCS Championship massacre via the Alabama Crimson Tide should never hide the fact that Notre Dame leads the series 5-2.

  • 1973 — 24-23 IRISH, Sugar Bowl
  • 1975 — 13-11 IRISH, Orange Bowl
  • 1976 — 21-18 IRISH, South Bend
  • 1980 — 7-0 IRISH, Birmingham
  • 1986 — 28-10 BAMA, Birmingham
  • 1987 — 37-6 IRISH, South Bend
  • 2012 — 42-14 BAMA, BCS Championship

The Tide are looking to “even the score” with the Irish.

THE ENTIRE SEC HAS A BURR UP THEIR ASS ABOUT NOTRE DAME

Speaking of that 2012 game against Alabama... Saturday Down South stirred up their southern audience with a simple question. How many SEC teams would have beat Notre Dame in 2012?

My answer... none and bring that shit up to South Bend in November please and thank-you.

THE TROLL MASTER RETURNS

Colin Cowherd released his ALL-TIME CFB tiers. The Irish are in tier 2 while the USC Trojans, Oklahoma Sooners, Alabama Crimsonb Tide, and Ohio State Buckeyes sit alone in tier 1. This is an ALL-TIME tier, so I have to ask... are you fucking kidding me or are you smoking PCP again?
