The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have a roster full of players, and we want to talk about them all. One Foot Down’s player profile series will take a look at every single one of them, and hopefully we all learn a little bit more about these guys, and Notre Dame’s chances for the upcoming 2020 season.
#76 Dillan Gibbons, OL
Dillan Gibbons is coming into his fourth year with the program. His freshman season was in 2017, but he was on the scout team for that entire season. He saw a bit of play in 2018. However, the offensive line was pretty much set and was a juggernaut in that season that there was not much room for Dillan on the offensive line. Last season in 2019, Gibbons actually played in all 13 games. However, he was in more on Special Teams that at the O-Line. He did record one tackle last season and that was against Michigan.

And I say this with all sincerity. Dillan Gibbons looks like Yukon Cornelius. However, he also has been helping him team find that gold and silver (a championship) in any way possible. Gibbons has helped where he can, and he’s shown to be that workhorse.

2020 Outlook
The offensive line is fairly set, specifially at the Guard position where Dillan Gibbons officially sits. He has Aaron Banks and Tommy Kraemer at those positions. However, Gibbons did contribute on Special Teams last season. If he is called upon for the offensive line, he could help. However, with the line set he could see some more playing time on kickoffs and punts.
