Welcome to the Triple Options folks — yes the name stays. I hope everyone enjoyed their Memorial Day Weekend! I’m feeling a bit under the weather this morning, so I’m going to knock today’s Notre Dame Fighting Irish news out of the park with some team speed.
Here we go...
A TRAVELING CIRCUS
I have very serious and very strong opinions about what, who, and where the Irish play their football games. Those opinions will probably never change, but I also realize that a lot of fans like these “special” venues. If you’re curious as to what might be next — maybe some of these are on a list in a desk drawer that I must blow up at some point.

PLAY THE WILDCARD
I thought Irish Illustrated’s Tim Prister laid out a really extensive and thorough look at Notre Dame’s “Wildcard” options for 2020. These are generally my favorite type of player, and a few names on this list give me those sweet ole fat goosebumps.

THAT TOP 10 LIFE
Athlon put out their Top 25 rankings, and the Irish sit inside the top 10 once again.
Each FBS season brings plenty of surprises, disappointments and unexpected teams emerging in the national title picture. However, the list of favorites for this year starts with familiar contenders: Clemson, Alabama and Ohio State. https://t.co/tUwhKRvodQ

HOW IMPORTANT ARE VISITS?
For Notre Dame — probably pretty damn important. BGI’s Andrew Mentock is on point with his assertion that the Irish NEED these official recruiting visits to convince the hesitant to put on a Golden Dome for the next 3-4 years.
#NotreDame will go without on-campus visitors at least through the end of June.

How important are official and unofficial visits to Fighting Irish recruiting compared to the rest of college football?
