Thanks to a suggestion in our yearly survey about what we do here at One Foot Down, I making the daily link dump about the Notre Dame Fighting Irish a priority again — at least for Monday through Friday. “The Triple Option” is a working title for now. I want to keep this to 4 stories a day, and pre-snap there are actually 4 options in the triple-option.

Like I said... it’s a working title. So let’s get into it.

WINNING IS HARDER

Notre Dame Our Blogger does a deep dive into Notre Dame’s winning percentage curve across the eras — like 100 years of data. You may be surprised so see how that’s going.

OHIO STATE IS ONE STEP AHEAD

While we debate about how Notre Dame will start their football season, the Ohio State Buckeyes will have players report to campus on June 8.

NOTRE DAME OFFERS A LEGACY... FINALLY

After an uneasy wait, Notre Dame finally offered 2022 cornerback Bobby Taylor Jr. — yes THAT Bobby Taylor Sr.’s son. The Irish are going up against all the Texas schools, the SEC, and many others across the country.

NOT EVEN A CHANCE AGAINST CLEMSON — NONE

CBS put out their mini preview for the Irish in 2020, and in that article the Cover 3 Podcast provides a little over 10 minutes of thoughts about Notre Dame. Ben Kercheval never hesitated as he said Notre Dame has no chance to beat the Clemson Tigers — in South Bend — in November.
