Mike Brey got some good quarantine news on Friday when 3-Star small forward Tony Sanders Jr. gave his commitment to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and its 2020 recruiting class.

The 6’7” 190 pounder from Miami, Florida (Gulliver Prep) chose the Irish over offers from the Florida State Seminoles, Georgia Bulldogs, Dayton Flyers, and others.
Here’s an evaluation from 247 analyst Brian Snow:
Sanders, who can play either forward spot, is someone who can stretch a defense from the power forward position, or be a big wing who is a problem for teams to deal with given his size and athleticism. While Sanders has worked to be more consistent, that is still something that he is looking to improve on, and will be a major focus going forward as he gets to college.
Sanders is the 222nd player in the nation according to the 247 Composite and the 20th ranked player in the state of Florida. He was one of the last big prospects left on the board nationally, and joins PF Elijah Taylor and C Matt Zona in Notre Dame’s 2020 recruiting class.
