Why Do YOU Hate the Yankee Stadium Notre Dame Football Shamrock Series Jerseys?

I will be the first to admit that I thought the 2018 Shamrock Uniforms looked like shit (at first). I hated the promo, I thought the unis were black, the model looked off....you get it. I thought these were going to be absolute trash. The internet (and us Included), hated them. HOWEVER, there was one brave soul who stuck up the week before kickoff against the Syracuse Orange.....

Yes that brave soul was yours truly. I wanted to hate them, but had a weird premonition that I would like them on Gameday. Lo and Behold that beautiful Saturday happened and fans be damned, I love those things. I’m not crazy enough to say they were perfect by any stretch (I really didn’t need striped pants, though they were barely visible on camera)....but give these a deeper look and really ask yourself....are these THAT BAD? Would you hate these if a team you didn’t root for rocked them?

I love that blue color, I love the cursive, I even love the sleeves. Lastly, the helmets. I can honestly say I didn’t love them, but I am a sucker for matte black. Purist will rage, but they made for a nice change and the players seemed to love them. Also, the Irish dominated that game, which made it that much more satisfying. Alohi Gilman had 2 picks, the defense shut down everything, and Jafar Armstrong and the Irish offense executed the best running play of all time...

Ok. So you get my point. I liked these jerseys. A lot. I own that. What I am wanting to know is WHY you hate them. Not “I don’t like them” or “they were ugly”....I want to know the specific reasons Notre Dame fans unanimously hated these in great detail. It will be a great stress relief for you during these shitty times. Please leave your comments below and if there was any change you could have to these jerseys for you to not loathe them. This should be fun.
