welcome to LA, @alohigilman! pic.twitter.com/k5NG9NrszN
Gilman, a hard hitting safety from Hawaii was once a part of the Navy Midshipmen football program, but this EXACT reason is why he chose to transfer. Navy changed their policy at the time about athletes being able to be drafted, and Gilman was not going to let a life long dream die with a bureaucratic stamp.

At present, Gilman is the sixth Notre Dame player selected in this year’s NFL Draft with another round to go.
Congratulations to GILLA KILLA on his selection by the Chargers — who seem to love Notre Dame players more than any other team in the league lately.

Alohi Gilman joins former teammates Drue Tranquill and Jerry Tillery in Los Angeles with the Chargers in round 6. Isaac Rochell is also with the team. Chargers definitely like them some ND guys
