Even though the NFL Draft is now over and there are no more picks to be turned in to the league, teams will start combing the country for more players to sign as undrafted free agents (UDFA) and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish are sure to have a handful of former players signed in this way.
UDFAs have a steep hill to climb, but they will get their shot with whatever team they sign with over the next few days. In some ways, going the UDFA route is better than being drafted in the last two rounds — at least when it comes to finding a good fit.
This post will serve as a tracker for all of those former Notre Dame players that sign, so you can keep checking back.

It looks like there won’t be many, if any, rookie camps offered this year.
With the draft over, it’s now time for the undrafted rookies signing. This is the most difficult part of the virtual draft because most teams are NOT doing rookie mini camps. That’s 20+ players per team that would normally get a chance to at least tryout in front of a team.

Several Notre Dame players have received rookie camp invites. Greer Martini actually parlayed his into a spot on the preseason roster and, eventually, the Green Bay Packers’ practice squad.
Couple things on what happens after the draft:
— Pat Leonard (@PLeonardNYDN) April 25, 2020
- As NFL's early April memo on offseason program said, teams will be guided on plans for three-day post-Draft "virtual" rookie mini-camps.
- Teams already are on phone w/ possible undrafted free agent signings, but ...
... some believe teams won't sign as many UDFAs right off the bat because there is no need to have a full 90-man offseason roster to practice on a field in a camp due to the shutdown.

- NFL teams' UDFA bonus allotment this year is $123,279.00.#NFL #NFLDraft
