This running back made a transformation of his own, but still has some growing to do.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have a roster full of players, and we want to talk about them all. One Foot Down’s player profile series will take a look at every single one of them, and hopefully we all learn a little bit more about these guys, and Notre Dame’s chances for the upcoming 2020 season.

#20 C’Bo Flemister, RB

C’Bo played his high school football in Georgia where he scored 43 touchdowns and had 16 career games with over 100 rushing yards. Flemister was targeted late in the 2018 recruiting cycle after Notre Dame ran into disciplinary problems with other running backs. C’Bo was a 3-Star and the 1199th ranked prospect in the country according to the 247 Composite.

Irish fans saw this running back transform from his freshman season to his sophomore year. Flemister only saw action in two games in 2018. However, during this past season, the Williamson, Georgia native rushed to claim five TDs for the Irish over nine games, and has developed a reputation as a “hard runner” on the field.

Spirit Animal

The guy has the best name on this Irish squad. You can’t deny it. It rhymes with Skee Lo, so here’s “I Wish.”

2020 Outlook

Flemister’s growth will not be stopping anytime soon. He has the speed and the attitude, but will need to focus on conditioning to keep a good thing going; he was just too vulnerable in the backfield this past season. Flemister has proven he can get himself into gear, but now it’s all about setting himself apart from the other Irish running backs.
