Just hours after the Notre Dame Fighting Irish announced that spring football practice will be postponed, they have now announced that the annual Blue-Gold spring football game is cancelled.
Consistent with Coach Kelly’s message regarding the suspension of all football-related activities for the foreseeable future, the Blue-Gold Game has been cancelled. https://t.co/B1cyetjPFp

Earlier, other programs such as the Michigan Wolverines and Ohio State Buckeyes announced that they were cancelling their spring games — so we should have seen this coming.
Obviously all of this (throughout the entire sports world) is due to the COVID-19 pandemic (commonly known as the coronavirus). We haven’t seen anything like this before, and there is no way of truly knowing what the future holds.
Wash your hands, and be as safe as possible.
