On senior night in Ann Arbor, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish was looking to complete the sweep against the Michigan Wolverines. Just like Friday night the game started off slow, with no score through the first two periods. Notre Dame finally broke through in the third and Cale Morris held on for the shutout to finish the sweep.
First Period
The first period started quietly with only two shots on goal in the first ten minutes. There were a few more shots in the second half of the period, and Morris came up with one big save in the crease to keep the game scoreless through the first twenty minutes.

The second period went much like the first, with no goals from either side. The shots increased and Morris came up with another big save but there was still no score through two periods.

Third Period
Like last night, the third period was when the offense cam alive. Notre Dame opened things up with eight minutes left in the game after an initial no goal call was overturned on review. Spencer Stastney carried the puck across the offensive zone, eventually drifting to the faceoff circle where he let a wrist shot go that beat Strauss Mann high. The puck hit the back of the net and bounced out quickly, leading to the goal being waved off and play continuing. When there was finally a whistle to stop play the goal was rewarded on video review.

Less than two minutes later Cam Morrison took a pass from Michael Graham and carried the puck down the left side of the offensive zone. He took a wrist shot that again beat Mann high from a similar spot on the ice. Michigan pulled Mann shortly after for the extra skater and Tory Dello added an empty net goal from the opposite end of the ice for the 3-0 score.
