Before the Notre Dame Fighting Irish kicked off against the Syracuse Orange on Saturday, they knew they were heading to Charlotte on December 19 to play in the ACC Championship game. They didn’t know — with 100% assurance — which team they will face in that game.
Before Saturday started, both the Clemson Tigers and Miami-Florida Hurricanes had a path to Charlotte. All Clemson needed to do, however, was win their game against the Virginia Tech Hokies — which they did, 45-10.

The two teams played in the game of the year (anyone saying Coastal Carolina and BYU was the game of the year is a fool and trying to sell you something) a game that saw the Irish victorious by the score of 47-40 in double overtime.
What’s funny is this “we’re getting cheated” crap by Miami fans. They claim the ACC is playing favorites and the NOT having Miami on Notre Dame’s schedule is proof of that. It’s as if the Canes didn’t get their asses handed to them by Clemson earlier this year by a score of 42-17 — and it wasn’t even remotely that close.
Miami beat Duke on Saturday, but they still have to face North Carolina next week as its 9th conference game, so I will have no problem watching the Tar Heels hand Miami another loss for its 2020 campaign.
