With one eyeing a Unanimous selection

Twitter @NDFootball

Three of the five All-American teams have been announced, and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish are well represented. The AP, Sporting News, and FWAA are up to date and here are the results for Notre Dame:

AP 1st Team

  • Guard Aaron Banks
  • Linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah

AP 2nd Team

  • Tackle Liam Eichenberg

AP 3rd Team

  • Guard Tommy Kraemer
  • Safety Kyle Hamilton

Sporting News 1st Team

  • Tackle Liam Eichenberg
  • Linebacker Jeremiah-Owusu-Koramoah

Sporting News 2nd Team

  • Running Back Kyren Williams
  • Guard Aaron Banks

FWAA 1st Team

  • Tackle Liam Eichenberg
  • Linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah
  • Safety Kyle Hamilton

To be considered a Consensus All-American, a player must be on 3 different 1st team groups. Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah has achieved that goal already, and is on track to be a Unanimous All-American. The other players listed on the first team are still eligible for consensus All-American, but Liam Eichenberg only needs one more 1st team selection whereas Kyle Hamilton and Aaron Banks both need two.
