Notre Dame Football Recruiting: Quarterback Ron Powlus III commits and signs with the Irish

There’s a name I know

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish added a 25th commitment to its 2021 recruiting class with another addition at quarterback. 3-Star Ron Powlus III was finally offered a scholarship by his father’s alma mater, and the Mishawaka native jumped at the chance to wear the Blue and Gold.

Powlus committed and signed his NLI on Wednesday, and if it needs repeated... he is going to be a full scholarship player for the Irish.

Powlus chose Notre Dame over a handful of schools such as the Buffalo Bulls, Bowling Green Falcons, and Kentucky Wildcats.

Powlus has a fairly strong arm and has a fairly smooth and quick delivery. At 6’3” 225 pounds, he has the physical frame to play at the FBS level. The mental part of the game should be fairly sharp, but he isn’t the most athletic player behind center.

Even as a very low 3-Star player, I like the offer form Notre Dame and look forward to the Powlus legacy continuing for the Irish.
