Notre Dame Fighting Irish VS Clemson Tigers: ACC Football Championship Betting Lines

People, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish play on Saturday afternoon. They will play the Clemson Tigers in the first and only conference championship in program history. Oh yeah, and it is a rematch with Clemson. A lot of people have had a lot of opinions on this rematch, and we have all heard them. It’s coming to the time just to play the game, which I’m very excited about. The betting lines for this game have showed to be very interesting. For that, let’s dive into the lines we see for this ACC Championship Game.

ND vs Clemson Lines

The last time the Irish and Tigers played, the Irish were 5.5-point underdogs at home. This was after Trevor Lawrence was ruled out due to Covid protocols. The original line was around what it is for this game on Saturday.

The Tigers are now 10.5-point favorites over the Irish. This seems insanely high for a championship game line. I know that Clemson has their full roster mostly back plus it is seemingly tougher to beat the same team twice in one season. This is also at a neutral site. However, with how dominant the Irish have been this season, not to mention undefeated, this line is too many points in my opinion. If people bet on Clemson to cover, they will have to win by 11 or more points. For how good both of these teams are, one would thing it could/should be closer. The line moved up from Clemson -7.5 a couple weeks ago when the game opponents were finalized.

Matty G’s Prediction

I know I am a Notre Dame fan and writing for a Notre Dame site, but I just have a tough time believing that Clemson will win by 11 or more (which would be a pretty convincing win). I think the Irish cover, and I think there is still a great chance the Irish win outright. The Irish at +275 on the moneyline seems like a really good value. Additionally, the O/U is 60.5. That could be from the explosiveness of both offenses and how the over definitely hit in the last matchup, even before 2 OTs were played. I think that there could be the defenses that stand out more, as Brian Kelly suggested last week. Because of that, I could actually see the UNDER hitting in this game. With that, I can foresee a 31-28 game, and of course I’m going to pick the Irish to come out on top.

As for this week’s DAMHSA BUA total, let’s set that at 3.5. I could see 4 TDs scored, but 3-4 TDs scored for the Irish seems about right. Let us know what you think about the lines in the comments, and as always vote in the DAMHSA BUA poll.
