There was no movement with the top 7 teams; Alabama, Notre Dame, Clemson, Ohio State, Texas A&M, Florida, and Cincinnati. It was, by most standards, a pretty dull weekend of college football after Thanksgiving. One of the bigger games was Notre Dame’s matchup against the North Carolina Tar Heels in Chapel Hill, and after a 31-17 loss — UNC moved up from #19 to #14.
It’s just a crazy year (an obvious understatement).
There’s all sorts of speculation and theories about how the final four will eventually form, but there are still several weeks of games (or cancellations) that can/will affect the final standings.
Because of just went down in the ACC today, Notre Dame will finish its regular season this Saturday against the Syracuse Orange in South Bend. The Wake Forest game was cancelled, which puts the Irish in the ACC Championship game against either Clemson or Miami — but it’s probably safe to say it’s going to be Clemson.
